One of the best things about living on MDI is being able to take courses at Acadia Senior College. This fall, Duane and Ruth Braun taught The Geology of Mount Desert Island. Common Ground Country Fair
The 39th annual Common Ground Country Fair was held September 25-27 in Unity, Maine. Janice and I attended on Friday and Saturday, our first time ever. Two full days was just about enough time to see everything that was happening on the 40+ acre fair grounds. Sunbeam Trip to Frenchboro, Maine
The tiny village of Frenchboro is located on Long Island, eight miles southeast of Bass Harbor, Maine. The 2,500 acre island is just two miles long by a mile and a half across at its widest point. Seal Harbor Regatta

Morris Memorial Regatta
The sixth annual Tom Morris Memorial Regatta was hosted today by the MDI Community Sailing Center (MDICSC) and the Northeast Harbor Sailing School (NEHSS), the event is a fundraiser for the MDICSC and NEHSS scholarship programs. The Northeast Harbor Fleet formed in August of 1923. Northeast Harbor has long been a popular sailing destination with the first organized races recorded in the 1890s. The Fleet is a seasonal organization formed to promote boating and sailboat racing in the waters surrounding Mount Desert Island. Pretty in Pink Flamingo Festival

Waters Edge, W. P. Stewart Estate
Waters Edge is a private estate on Sargeant Drive in Northeast Harbor, Maine. It has lovely gardens and expansive views across Somes Sound to the mountains of Acadia National Park. Each year the W.
