Eagle Lake Frozen
Yesterday we received a foot of snow and here’s what it looked like today. It simply doesn’t get any better than this. Blue skies, temps in the twenties, no wind, and no people. Out on Eagle Lake, Janice and I had Acadia National Park all to ourselves. We parked at the boat ramp and walked along the carriage road on the east side of the lake, about a mile and a half. Then we walked down onto the ice and trekked back on top of the ice back to the car. The views are ones that only those of us fortunate enough to be on Mount Desert Island in winter will ever see.
